How is this guaranteed to be not spoofed?

Anyone can get a $5 bluetooth-capable ESP32 and set its bluetooth mac to one in the range used by smart glasses. Not sure why you'd do that though.

The other direction is trickier. You'd have to modify the firmware of the smart glasses to set a different mac, or at least gain arbitrary code execution with hardware access on the glasses. That's well beyond what the average smart glass user will do

And at that point, it'd be mostly about the heads-up display anyways. Somebody who is determined to record you without your knowledge has far easier paths available to them. Just get one of those lighters or ear-rings or car key fobs with built-in camera

I worked at a place once with an old Win 2k server sitting in the corner of the server room. It had once been a workgroup/domain controller but was long retired from that job. As far as we could tell, nothing was talking to the box anymore and the box wasn’t hosting anything anymore. But for some reason if we shut it down, the network would have random failures to communicate between various devices. It was never especially high priority solve, so we just all knew that we couldn’t turn off that box. Never did find out what was misconfigured before I left.

Once I worked at a company in a "historic building":

In some of the rooms, the wallplugs were connected to the switch for the ceiling lightbulb and you had to draw/rotate the switch into the correct direction, to have energy on the wallplugs.

People always complained that something must be broken in these rooms,since they do not have alectricity the whole day on all the wallplugs :-D :-D
