FWIW the take-home project is somewhat involved (at the time that I applied, make a RESTful chat server without using any libraries except the standard library), and after spending a fair amount of a vacation working on and submitting it I never heard from them again. This was extra frustrating as I've long been a huge fan of the opportunity to submit a slightly more realistic work sample.
